Most resorts on the island are set up to handle weddings regularly, from an intimate barefoot ceremony for two up to a full celebration with a hundred guests.
Because it's a destination wedding, most couples pair the ceremony with a longer stay — so it becomes both the wedding and the honeymoon in one trip. The best time to marry outdoors is during the drier months, roughly May to December, when rainfall is lower and the light in the late afternoon is especially good for photos.

A beach ceremony usually means a simple aisle marked out with flowers or petals, a small arch or arbour at the front, and seating for your guests facing the water — the sound of the waves does a lot of the work for you. Timing it for late afternoon, a couple of hours before sunset, tends to give the best light for photos without the midday heat.
Receptions typically move to a garden, terrace or ballroom once the sun goes down, with string lighting and a more formal dinner setup — a natural transition from barefoot ceremony to evening celebration.

Choosing between a resort and a private venue
Most couples end up choosing between two routes: a wedding hosted at their resort, where the hotel's own events team handles most of the logistics, or a private venue — a villa, beach spot or garden — booked separately and built from scratch. A resort wedding is generally simpler to coordinate since everything from catering to guest rooms is under one roof, while a private venue gives more freedom over styling and guest list size, at the cost of arranging each supplier individually.
