Road bike · Cannondale CAAD 12
A light aluminium frame and a dependable Shimano Tiagra 2x10 groupset. Quick, efficient and comfortable over long coast rides. Comes with a helmet and a combination lock.
Mountain bike · Titan Racing Rogue Sport
A lightweight all-rounder with a 1x10 drivetrain that suits riders of every level. Handles tarmac, gravel and easy trails, so it is the safe pick if your route is still up in the air.
E-bike · Giant Talon E+ 3
A hardtail mountain bike with a SyncDrive Core motor that takes the sting out of the climbs. Perfect for bike paths and cross-country trails when you want to go further with less effort.
Where to ride
The west coast is the classic. The cycle route between the sea and the mountains runs from fishing villages to villages perched on the slopes, with plenty of places to stop for a swim or a coffee.
- Flic en Flac to Tamarin — flat, scenic and easy to shorten or stretch.
- Black River villages — quiet roads that suit a relaxed family ride.
- Le Morne — coastal roads beneath the mountain, with lagoon views all the way.
- Mountain-bike trails — rougher tracks around Black River for riders who want dirt under the tyres.

What to bring, what to add
You do not need special kit, but a few small things make a big difference in the Mauritian sun.
- Comfortable clothes and sports shoes
- Sun cream and mosquito repellent
- A swimsuit and towel — you will want a dip
- A cap or hat, and a spare change of clothes
- A camera or phone for the views
- Add-on: an insulated Polisport water bottle that keeps your drink cool for hours in the heat
Good to know before you ride
Do I need cycling experience?
No. Tell us how confident you are and how far you would like to go, and we will suggest a bike and a route to match. E-bikes are a great equaliser if the hills worry you.
Are a helmet and lock included?
Yes. Every bike comes with a helmet and a combination lock as standard.
Can you deliver to my hotel?
Yes. Delivery is available around Black River, Tamarin, Flic en Flac and Le Morne, and to other parts of the island on request.
What if it rains?
Tropical showers are usually short, so most of the time it is a case of sheltering for twenty minutes. If conditions are genuinely unsafe, we will say so.
Is there a deposit?
A refundable deposit is standard for bike rentals. We will confirm the amount and terms when you book.
