Fly from the Chamarel heliport over the south-west of Mauritius on one of two helicopter tours. The Underwater Waterfall of the South (15 minutes) takes in the famous underwater waterfall illusion off Le Morne. Must of the South (25 minutes) is a longer flight over the south-west coast and mountains. Flights operate on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, children from 2 years old can fly, and infants under 2 are not allowed from this heliport.

What should I wear?

Comfortable clothes in darker colours reduce reflections in your photos. Leave large bags behind; there is limited space on board.

Where is the underwater waterfall?

It is an optical illusion off Le Morne, where sand and silt slide down the ocean shelf. It is only properly visible from the air.
